Messenger of Wisdom

by Stephanie Conrod

Messenger of Wisdom

Your call pierces the early morning light,

as a chill wind cuts the air.

Your sleak black feathers glow in the rays of Sunna,

like a star in the deep of night.

Your eyes gleaning knowledge see though all,

of things hidden and unhidden.

Messenger of Wisdom

Lend me your voice,

so that I may speak to the Gods.

Lend me your cloak,

so that I may fly to the top of the Tree.

Lend me your eyes,

so that I may see what you See.

Messenger of Wisdom

Speak to me of Odinn’s Will.

Guide my passage through the Worlds.

Show me the path of the Wise.
